History

Léon Constantin opened offices in the United States in 1952 to meet the needs of major corporate clients of European origin.

In 1955, Constantin drafted the IPO memorandum for the first European company traded on a US stock Exchange (SIMCA, Car manufacturer). In the course of this listing Léon Constantin was recognized by SEC as an independent auditor.

 

Over 55 years of existence

Constantin with change of partners and renewal it maintained its head office on Madison avenue in New York City. It started at 375, went to 550 and since the 80’s is at 575.

It endeavours a continuous growth and serviced most of the European industry and most prestigious names.

Over the years it was also able to establish a network with correspondents in San Francisco Boston and Chicago and concluded in 1994 an Alliance with Horwarth International number 6 in the US with $ 1,27 billion in revenues, 1,396 partners, 8,096 professionals in total and 428 offices ( based on 2006 figures from accounting today and the International Accounting Bulletin and CPAmerica Alliance) and number 7 worldwide.

With about a thousand clients it is a reference for European firms of all sizes, public and private investing in the US and having a need for expertise on IFRS, transatlantic trade and cross financing.
